QUT Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship
The greatest expenditure for any education is the tuition fee unless it is free of cost, provided by the government. I am very happy to secure QUT tuition fee waiver scholarship to pursue PhD (IT). The period of fund cover is for three years from 09/03/2009 to 08/03/2012.

Australian Leadership Award Fellowship
This scholarship sponsored training program on Leadership and Action Research held at University of New England, Armidale, Australia from 6th April 2008 to 30th April 2008. The fellowship also sponsored the participation to the 28th Annual Seminar, International Society for Teacher Education held at University of New England, Armidale from 20th to 25th April 2008; and the research paper presentation at the 2009 Australian Teacher Education Association Conference held at the Charles Sturt University Albury NSW from 28th June to 1st July 2009.

Royal Government of Bhutan Postgraduate Degree Scholarship
This scholarship sponsored my master degree (Master of Information Technology) at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia from July 2004 to December 2005. The scholarship covered tuition fee, health insurance, living stipend and travel allowances.

Research Workshop: Introduction to Educational Action Research for teachers of Paro Valley.

Online Learning and Teaching System (OLTS)

Online Learning and Teaching System (OLTS) is a web based teaching learning tool. The OLTS is designed to facilitate teaching-learning activities by shortening the gap between the learner and the tutor. It makes simpler and effective for both the administrator, at various levels (such as module coordinator, dept head, course coordinator), and the learner to perform or assign a task.
The main objectives of the programme are
equip the college with OLTS (new technology for the college)
familiarize faculty members with OLTS
Make work easier for learners and administrators and tutors by shortening the gap between them.

Computer Literacy Programme is for the beginners who did not have basic skill and knowledge in using computers.
Some of the objectives of the program are to:
1.create awareness among the teachers and students
2.save and manage files and folders
3.use Microsoft word processor in their daily work such as typing newsletters, question papers, etc
4.use Microsoft excel to store data such as students marks and also to proferm some operations such as summing, percentage, etc

International Society for Teacher Education (ISfTE)
Since April 2008
The International Society for Teacher Education (ISFTE) is an independent organization of teacher educators free of external political or economic controls. It is dedicated to the improvement of teacher education in all settings by fostering discussion, critical analysis and dissemination of ideas from research and innovative practice in teacher education.Since 1981 the Society has met in different countries for an Annual Seminar lasting about five days at which participants present papers for discussion in small groups. The Seminars are based on a special format which encourages constructive dialog on contemporary issues in teacher education and is accompanied by experiences which help participants to understand the educational environment of the host country.ISFTE is proud of its networking systems which facilitate scholarly professional activity.
